Mark Allen
Mark Allen is a graduate of Iowa City Regina High School where he participated in football and wrestling. He also was active in the school newspaper and theater departments. His college years were spent at St. Ambrose University where he graduated in 1992.

A 12-year radio career began in Davenport, Iowa and continued in Iowa City. Mark spent many of those years broadcasting high school football, basketball, baseball and softball games.

An opportunity to become a member of the University of Iowa radio network was presented, and Mark soon found himself doing play by play for Iowa wrestling and baseball. Mark eventually became the sideline reporter for Iowa Football and was the voice of the Iowa Womens Basketball team.

Mark's full-time job now is with Edward Jones as an Investment Representative. He and his wife Emily live in Newton with their two children. Mark continues to do morning sports for 1040 WHO radio in Des Moines and is very excited to be a part of the IHSSN.

Chuck Reed
Chuck came to Iowa in 1981 from Munster, Indiana to attend Drake University. In 1983, he began working at KCCI-TV in Des Moines in the sports department and worked there until 1996. At KCCI, Reed photographed, reported, anchored, and even produced the Jim Walden Coach’s Show for seven years.

Reed can still be seen on the sidelines of high school football games all across Iowa as he works with “The Friday Night Blitz” on WOI-TV in Des Moines, and can be heard filling in on “Des Moines Sports Station” KXNO radio. In addition, he can be seen as a handicapper at Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino during the horseracing season.

Chuck is employed full-time as the Media Relations Coordinator for the American Cancer Society and lives in West Des Moines with his wife and two daughters.
